In my previous post ( Water the grass – Playing With Processing #1 ), I wrote an idea for a small game I wanted to make, because I found new areas that I wanted to play with in Processing and Processing.js.
I ended up learning much more than I thought I would during the first part of my coding, so I ended up making something very different – and less interesting.
The reason why I decided to cut this coding short, so to say, is because I learned new ways of coding things than I am used to, and because of that, I saw no reason to continue working with my “old ways”.
Regardless, I finalized the script into something working – even via PJS (and that took most of the time).
What I ended up making is basically a script that spawn Arcs in different positions with data stored in an array. The Arcs are redrawn and they increase in size and change color up to a given point – and then they are removed.
The most important thing I learned is that Processing has an ArrayList in addition to an Array, and that is something I need / want to look more into before working on new scripts.
I won’t walk though the actual programming / script in this post, but hope to find the time to write about it tomorrow!
Anyway, here it is;)
Ps. Once 250 grass instances are added, no more will be generated!
